Applying for Phytosanitary Certificate

Required documents to apply the Phytosanitary Certificates for export consignment
1. Application
2. Submitted sample (1 kg/100 MT)
3. Fumigation Certificate
4. Approved letter for company representative (if company assigns representative for application)
5. Approved letter for pre-shipment application
6. Certificate for legality of forest products/Specification (Measurement/packing list)
7. Laboratory test for pest and disease in accordance with importing country’s requirement (if needed)

 

Procedures for issuance of Phytosanitary Certificate

1. Application with fumigated representative sample
2. Visual inspection
3. Live pest not found in representative sample and meet with importing country’s requirements
4. Issuance of Phytosanitary Certificate
5. Live pest found in representative sample – Reject

 

Required documents to apply the Import Certificates for imported commodities
1. Application
2. Submitted sample for lab test (0.005-0.01% of the commodity for disease test, pesticide residue test and fruitfly test, where needed)
3. Phytosanitary Certificate (Country of Origin)
4. Pest list from country of origin
5. Certified letter of Seed Division (for growing purpose of seed, bulb, plant)
6. Certified letter of Forestry Department (for growing purpose of forest plant)
7. Certified letter of Sugar Crops Division (for growing purpose of Sugarcane)
8. Certified letter of Perennial Crops Division (for growing purpose of Perennial Crops)
9. Health Certificate or Fit for Human consumption or Good Agricultural Practice Certificate (Consumption for Vegetables and Fruits)
10. Approved letter for company representative (if company assigns representative for application)
11. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation

 

Procedures for issuance of Import Certificate

1. Application with representative sample and pest lists associated with imported commodities and Phytosanitary Certificate from country of origin
2. Laboratory inspection
3. No pest found in representative sample
4. Issuance of Import Certificate
5. Pest found in representative sample
− Non − Quarantine pests − Treatment
−  Quarantine pests – Destroy or Reject for importation
